Description

How lucky can you get. Just after sunrise on a beautiful summer morning, a fishing trawler on its way home glides by a sounding humpback whale near the mouth of Juneau Harbor. Thousands of these giant marine mammals make the annual trip to Alaska from the bays and inlets of western Mexico each spring and summer. The image was taken with a Canon 5D and a 20 mm Canyon superwide lens.
